Meet Aisha, AIS Swim School instructor
Aisha has been working at the swim school for over two years and has become an integral part of our teaching, supervising and administrative team. She has a warm, kind nature and all those wonderful qualities you want in someone who works with children. She especially loves working with our intermediate and higher levels and says Sharks is her favourite level to teach.
'She is really good at explaining things in a way that all the kids can understand and my daughter has progressed a lot having her as a teacher', said one of our customers.
Aisha will soon graduate from the University of Canberra with a degree in nutrition and plans to start a career as a nutritionist in the near future.
1) What is something people would find surprising about you?
I have the biggest phobia of flying on planes. I have to have a lollipop when the plane takes off and lands to calm my nerves.
2) What is your favourite past time?
Going to Newcastle over summer and fishing with my grandfather in the early mornings.
3) What is the most rewarding aspect of teaching?
The smiles the kids get when they have achieved something and how excited they get when they find out they have moved up.
